She wakes up early in the morning with a smile
ترفع رأسي عالياً = And she holds my head up high
Don’t you ever let anybody put you down
لأنك أنت ملاكي الصغير = Cos you are my little angel

ثم تصنع لي شيئ دافيء لأشربه = Then she makes something warm for me to drink
Cos it’s cold out there, she thinks
ثم تمشي معي للمدرسة ، نعم أنا لست أحمقاً = Then she walks me to school, Yes I aint no fool
I just think my Mom is amazing

بعد المدرسة ، هي تنتظرني عند البوابة = After school, she’s waiting by the gate

To get home to tell her how my day went
و الطعام اللذيذ الذي تصنعه أمي فقط = And eat the yummy food, only my Mom makes

ثم أتعبها لانني لا أريد الإستحمام = Then I wind her up cos I don’t wanna bath
و نجري حول البيت مع الضحك = And we run around the house with a laugh
No matter what I say, she gets her way
I think my Mom is amazing

في المساء تغطيني في الفراش = In the evening, she tucks me into bed
و ألف يداي حول رأسها = And I wrap my arms around her head
ثم تقول لي حكاية عن بنت في مكان بعيد = Then she tells me a tale of a girl far away
و هي أصبحت في يوم ما أميرة = Who one day became a princess

I‘m so happy, I don’t want her to leave
So she lies in bed with me
عندما أغلق عينياي ، كم أنا محظوظة = As I close my eyes, how lucky am I
To have a Mom that’s so amazing

ثم أستيقظت يوما في الصباح ، و هي لم تكن هناك = Then I wake up in the morning, she’s not there
و تيقنت من أنها لم تكن أبداً = And I realize she never was
و أنا ما زلت هنا في الملجأ الوحيد = And I’m still here in this lonely orphanage
مع العديد فقط مثلي = With so many just like me

كما بدأ حلمي بالبهتان = And as my dreams begin to fade
I try hard to look forward to my day
لكن هنالك ألم في قلبي وهو يولعني = But there’s a pain in my heart that’s a craving
How I wish I had a Mom that’s amazing

غارقا في مخاوفي = Once, I was drowning in my fears
الوميض في عيني إختفى = and the twinkle in my eye dissappeared
and I had no way to look on
أفقي يبدى كأنه قد ذهب = my horizon seemed to have gone
حياتي كلها بدت خالية و قاتمة = and my whole life seemed empty and bleak
each day and night the answers I seek

But when the darkness seems so strong
and I couldn't go on
to the sky I raise my hands
making right what was so wrong
I found the strength to carry on
upto heaven where I belong

In life, there are lessons to be learned
مع الصمود تستحق الجنة = with steadfastness, paradise is earned
and if all hope seems to be gone,
just hold on 'til after the storm
and if you ask what purpose have I?
why am I here and why do I cry?
