BOYE Crochet Hook, Size J
4 Ply Orlon Sayelle Yarn:
White: 8 oz
Light Yellow: 12 oz
Medium Yellow: 6 oz

Squares: Make 32

___With White yarn, Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.

___Round 1: Ch 3, 3 dc in center of ring, * Ch 2, 4 dc in center of ring. Repeat from * twice more and end Ch 2. Join with sl st to top of Ch 3. Fasten off.

___Round 2: With Light Yellow yarn, attach to any Ch 3 space. Ch 3, 2 dc in space, * Ch 1, Sk 4 dc, work 3 dc, Ch 2 and 3 dc in next space. Repeat from * twice more, Ch 1, Sk 4 dc, 3 dc in same space as first Ch 3, Ch 2, join with sl st to top of Ch 3. Fasten off.

___Round 3: With Medium Yellow yarn, attach to any corner. Ch 3, 2 dc in same space, * Ch 1, Sk 3 dc, 4 dc in next space, Ch 1, 3 dc, Ch 2 and 3 dc in corner. Repeat from * twice more and end Ch 1, Sk 3 dc, 4 dc in next space, Ch 1, 3 dc in same space as first Ch 3, Ch 2. Join with a sl st top of first Ch 3. Fasten off.

___Rounds 4 and 5: With White yarn, work around in sc, working 3 sc in each corner space as you turn. Fasten off.

___Finishing: With White yarn, join 8 squares into a rectangle for center of afghan, 2 squares wide by 4 squares long, with 1 row of sl st on right side of work. Attach Light Yellow yarn to a corner of rectangle and work around even in sc, working 3 sc in each corner st as you turn for 17 rows. Fasten off. Arrange remaining 24 squares into 4 strips, 2 consisting of 8 squares, and 2 consisting of 4 squares. Join squares with 1 row sl st. With Light Yellow yarn join 2 long strips of squares to long sides of afghan with 1 row sl st, Then join 2 short strips to short ends. Join remaining 4 seams. Work 1 row sc using Light Yellow yarn around entire edge of afghan.

___Fringe: Each strand should measure 7 inches, 2 strands Light Yellow, 1 strand White. Knot in every other sc on all sides of afghan.
