مسرحية باللغة الإنجليزية ( SALIMA'S DUCKS ( A PLAY
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
لا شك ان الأدب ارتقى رقياً عظيماً ووضحت معالمه عند كثير من الناس ، ولذلك فإننا نحاول
ان نقدم قطعة منقّحة خالية من الفضول .. بعيدةٍ عن الجمود في الطريقة التي تتناوله بالبحث.
وهنا جعلنا هدفنا ان يكون توجيهياً للطالب وعوناً له على أساليب البحث في الموضوعات
التي يَعهَد فيها اليه معلمه ..
وقد استعنا على ذلك بتقديم نماذج من المسرحيات يهتدي اليها الطالب ويتذوق بها الإنتاج
الأدبي ، وأن يسلك في تحليل القطعة الأدبية مسلكــاً واضح المعالم ، يقفه على النواحي
الرئيسية التي ينبغي أن يلاحظها دائماً في كل قطعة ادبية ، ليستطلع اسرارها الفنية .. وقد
بذلنا في هذه المسرحية من الجهد في اختيار النماذج ما تغني الطالب عن التعب والبحث
المضني في انتقاء مختارات .. وإن شاء الله يكون جهدنا وافياً ونطمئن إلى تحقيق الفائدة
المرجوّة .. وهيَ حصريّة لـ منتدى لكِ ..

( SALIMA'S DUCKS ( A PLAY
( Outside Salima's house . )
NADA : I see that you had a lot of fruit than we could eat , and
no one would buy it !
NADA: Was it wasted ? You might have stored it in some way .
SALIMA : Yes, that's what I thought. But it was very soft fruit ; so I
took all the fruit and put it in a big pot .
I thought : '' I'll boil this and pour it ( while it is still hot ) into
clean bottles . Then I'll keep the bottles in a cool place . That is
a very good way of making the fruit keep good for along time.''
NADA : Yes! Yes! That's a very good way of keeping fruit .
SALIMA : Then I was ill for a few days . The weather was very
warm, and all the fruit in the pot went bad.
It smelt like wine! Very strong!
NADA : So it was wasted?
SALIMA : I said : '' I must go to the town and buy some things;
but , when I come back, I'll throw all the fruit away and clean out
the pot. My house smells like a drink shop ! ''
NADA : Oh Look at your ducks ! Ha! Ha! Ha!
SALIMA : What's the matter with my ducks ?
NADA : Nothing is the matter . They are fine, big ducks.
But they've all got little red coats on !
SALIMA : I was telling you about the fruit. I got ready a nice
meal for my ducks. I put the pot of fruit outside the door
because it smelt so bad ; then I went to the town. When I
come back (rather late), to my surprise . . .
NADA : What ? What was the surprise ?
SALIMA : The ducks! They were all lying on their backs in the
garden with their legs up in the air .
NADA : Oh ! Dead ? perhaps there was something wrong
with that meal.
SALIMA : They cost me a lot of money when they were small. I
thought, '' What shall I do? All my beautiful ducks are dead ! ''
NADA : You might pull off the feathers and sell them for eating
in the town.
SALIMA : That's just what I did ! I sat up late at night taking
the feathers off the ducks in order to have them ready early in
the morning. I thought, '' I'll finish this tonight and take them to
the town early in the morning. '' Then, when I had finished, I
went to bed.
NADA : And did you tell them ?
SALIMA : Very early in the morning, when it was still dark, I
heard a noise, down below , in the kitchen.
Fat ducks sell for a lot of money.
SALIMA : No! It was not thieves.
SALIMA : There were all my ducks running about in the kitchen
with no feathers on! And there was dirt on the floor and the
table in my clean kitchen. You never saw such a sight!
NADA : Then they were not dead! You must have been surprised !
SALIMA : They were all quite well, and making such a noise!
You never heard a noise!
NADA : What had happened ?
SALIMA : I looked at that pot of fruit. It was empty : the ducks
had drunk it all! I had made a mistake.
They were not dead.
NADA : They had drunk all the fruit ?
SALIMA : Yes, they had drunk it all and gone into a deep
sleep! And while they were sleeping, I pulled the feathers off.
But I could not have ducks running about in my garden with no
feathers on! It would not look nice ; and they might catch cold :
they might all get cold.
NADA : So you made them those little red coat to keep them
warm!
( They both laugh.)
